Selective and reversible Kv3 channel inhibitor. Found in the venom of the sea anemone Anemonia sulcata. Shows higher selectivity for Kv3.4 (IC50 = 56 nM). Also antagonist at receptor site 3 of voltage-gated sodium channels (IC50 = 5.2 µM). Displays antihypertensive and antiviral properties.
